My favorite things - Bassett edition
My favorite Bassett things may not come in brown paper packages tied up with string, but they do come in big brown cardboard boxes from Bassett, Virginia. I want to share some of my favorite Bassett furniture items with you in this post. Bassett furniture is a brand built on quality and style, which are two elements that I greatly value. The Hubbard sofa is my one true love. From the moment I saw it, my heart went pitter-patter. The style of this sofa would fit with just about any décor. The nail-head trim in two different sizes is very distinctive and adds a subtle twist. There is flexibility in color, upholstery, and pillow selection. You can select fabric from our custom fabric wall for the perfect pillows that match your home and style. It makes my heart happy, and it will make your living room pop!
Cerused Wood is currently a major trend, and Bassett’s line gives you several finishes using this technique.
Ceruse is a finish where an overlay of white fills and reveals grain lines while having little effect in the wood’s base color. This technique adds a different but attractive dimension to the wood.
One of the most dramatic pieces in this line is the Emporium sideboard server. Wow, it really makes a statement!
The Wakefield bedroom group options add traditional style with the opportunity to add a little color to your life. With several color options you can really spice up your interiors! This really adds charm to a bedroom.
If Bassett does one thing right it is a great ottoman! There are so many styles and coverings, there is definitely a perfect option for every home. Ottomans can be useful in your living room as substitutes for coffee tables. It can help add a subtle pop of color or pattern to spice up a neutral sofa. It also allows for extra seating when hosting guests in your home. They are also great in your bedroom at the end of your bed. It makes tying your shoes in the morning a breeze!
Finally, one of my favorite things are Bassett accent cabinets and chests like this Bombay Chest.
(Just looking at this takes me back to the classic teenage bedroom when I was in high school!) There are several small chests or cabinets in the Bassett line which are great options as sofa tables, entry room pieces, hallway accents, or for extra storage in a bedroom.
